Behind the Scenes... Many Volunteers are Needed

Home Build in Monroe

Habitat for Humanity of Green County is in need of volunteers to help with our 2021 Home Build at 509 and 511 3rd Avenue in Monroe. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with finishing work. Work days will be Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning on January 19th and continuing until work is completed. The finishing work includes laying laminate flooring throughout, trim work, and cabinet installation. We are looking for volunteers to lay the flooring (experience helpful but not required) and volunteers who are skilled at finished carpentry to help with the trim work.

Providing lunch for volunteers is another volunteer opportunity which can be done by church groups, local businesses, community organizations, or just a few people working together.

Volunteers can sign up as individuals or as a team. Use the button on the home page to sign up to help with framing or to provide lunch.

Habitat provides tools but volunteers are welcome to bring their own. Work days usually begin at 8 am and end at 4 pm. Lunch is provided on site or nearby. We welcome volunteers with and without building skills. All volunteers must be 16 years or older.

Call 608-291-9968 with any questions.
